從經濟學人最新的全球居住舒適度調查，金邊在整個東南亞的排名還是墊底。排名第127名，最後一名則為140名的Damascus (敘利亞)。

其實前十名大多都是那些歐美城市，大家都很熟悉，不過後十名大家可能就不太確定了，這邊列出來一下。包含了烏克蘭，辛巴威，巴基斯坦，奈及利亞，孟加拉，利比亞等等。

值得慶幸的是，至少這個排名跟去年一樣，沒有變化。雖然在基礎設施，醫療等等項目拿了很低分，不過在國家穩定，無軍事干政，經濟發展等等的表現還是不錯的。可說不好也不壞。
…a lack of affordable housing was pushing the poorest residents to the city’s outskirts, where they struggle to access health care and find work.…“When the government wants to develop in the urban poor communities, they always evict them and give them very small compensation,” he said….“They cannot afford adequate housing so it means the poor have no right to live in the city; it is just the rich who have the right to live in the city.”

不過金邊的城鄉發展差距，還是一個很大的問題。隨著金邊市區的生活成本逐漸提高，窮人只能被逼著搬遷到市區外面生存，雖然柬埔寨政府在基礎設施上下了很大的功夫，不過公共住宅的部分，還是只有聽到雷聲不見雨點的狀態。
