Sniper – the best trained marksman

After watching the Discovery series about Snipper, I really want to post something here.

Snipper Rifle

From my personal experience, in action video game (I love it!) such as Counter Strike, if your team get one or two snippers while the enemy doesn’t, then it will make a huge difference. Sinpper is extremely hard to observe and the only way to find it is track the sound when snipper firing. Unfortunatelly, sinppers have a vital rule which called "One Shot, One Kill". It means that if you heard the sound, someone was already knocked down. Meanwhile sinppers also cause huge pressure because you can’t see them, but you know they have already aimed at you and ready to take you down. It makes it even harder to search for the snipper. This is the main reason why snippers won’t have any chance to survive when caught by the enemy.

Next I would like to point out some truths about snipper:

1. Snipper is well trained.

It’s true. Only the well trained snipper can go to the battlefield. They need to spot any danger instantly and inform the troops imediately.

2. Snippers always go alone.

False. They work with the spotter as a two-man team. Spotter report the right information to the snipper and protect the FFP (final firing position) while the snipper doing his job.

3. Snipper is unbeatable.

Not really.  It is distance that protect the snipper from danger. Once you can manage the killing zone, you have chance to defeat snippers. PS: it is very, very hard. Be careful!

Just for fun! The world record distance for a snipper to shoot is an astonishing 1.5 miles! = 2.4 KM
2.4KM?  What it looks like?

Well, something like this…

Louis: Where are you??
